• All adventures and activities will happen outdoors.

• Masks are welcome but not required.

• Our activities, adventures and discussions will take place with adequate spacing between members.

• Masks are required in the Atabey Outdoors vehicle.
  

Who is Atabey for?

• This non-profit program is available to Black and Brown girls ages 8-12.

• Girls looking to meet new friends.

• Girls who are looking for something unique to do after school, on the weekends or during the summer.

Are boys allowed?

• We will not turn away boys who would like to be a part of the program.

• Please be aware that the programs and discussion topics have been curated to serve Black and Brown girls.

Do we need to be Black or Brown?

• Our priority is to provide a safe outdoor experiences to Black and Brown girls. However, any girl who can demonstrate a commitment to our mission & vision is encouraged to register.

Do we need Outdoor experience?

• No. Atabey Outdoors will offer activities, adventures, resources and services for all levels of outdoor experience.

How much does it cost?

• Many activities will be free.

• Atabey is working toward providing scholarships and income based cost for adventures.

• The main goal of Atabey Outdoors is to provide these adventures for girls who may not otherwise be able to afford them.

Will Transportation be provided?

• Atabey will have a van and working toward providing transportation in Fall 2021.

What will Atabey offer?

• Girls will safely be exposed to outdoor activities and adventures.

• Girls will build and support a sisterhood/community, through conversations, outdoor activities, team building and adventure trips.

• Girls will develop skills that will enhance their physical, social, emotional and cognitive growth.

What are Outdoor Adventures vs Outdoor Activities?

• Outdoor Adventures are experiences for girls who want to try something different outside. Adventures include: hiking, camping, kayaking, rock climbing, nature walks, cooking, paddle boarding, and yoga.

• Outdoor Activities are what girls will do while ON the adventure, for example: outdoor safety, organization, mindfulness & meditation, journaling, and setting goals.

Photo Consent Policy

• Participants and members will be asked to sign a photo consent form.

Liability Waiver

• All Participants and members are required to sign a Liability Waiver.
